Two lofted cylinders, emitting a soft glowing light. A lightweight aluminum shade atop a rolled and riveted aluminum base.
Inspired by the aircraft aluminum Grummond canoes we take out on overnight trips, portaging over kilometers of terrain in Algonquain Park. The distinct materiality, its dents and scratches each add to the ledger of its decades of journey.
*The lamp shade doubles as a baking pan for spicy butter milk coffee cake when not in use as a lamp shade. A screen print of our favorite recipe from Cafe Beaujolais included with each lamp.
